Dear Green Cross Members, Friends & Family,

We hope you're enjoying a wonderful holidaze season with friends and family near and far! It's been a monumental year for California, with the passing of Prop 64 and what that means for medical cannabis patients throughout the state. We have some big challenges ahead, however, we are making strides forward. Watchful eyes are waiting to see what happens in 2017 when legislators further define Prop 64 and the Medical Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act (MCRSA). Regardless of the outcome, The Green Cross will continue to serve medical cannabis patients throughout the Bay Area, and work with local elected officials and the Cannabis State Legalization Task Force to represent our community. We are committed to providing safe, affordable and quality access to medical cannabis, and ensuring new regulations put patient needs first.

As a reminder, The Green Cross offers after hour and weekend parking to all Green Cross members at the auto shop parking lot located directly across the street from our storefront location. The parking lot is available as follows:

Member Parking Lot Hours:
Monday: 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm
Tuesday: 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm
Wednesday: 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm

Friday: 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am to 9:30 pm

The Green Cross continues to make improvements to the surrounding neighborhood to better the community we call home and benefit our valued members. We have increased lighting around the storefront to ensure safety for our members and neighbors after dark. Please let us know if there are any additional enhancements we can make to improve your visits to The Green Cross moving forward.

We recently made changes to The Green Cross Returns & Exchanges Policy. Please review the following information for details on how to return or exchange products purchased at The Green Cross going forward.

Satisfaction Guarantee: If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return the item for a refund or exchange. Each member is allowed a maximum of two (2) returns/exchanges per calendar year, unless the product is determined to be defective, in which case it does not count toward the exchange limit.

All returns and exchanges must have the original receipt and be within 30 days of purchase. Any product returned must be in the original packaging. If you are returning cannabis flower, you must return the majority of the original purchase amount in order to qualify for a return/exchange.

Please Note: We are unable to accept refunds or exchanges for PAX and Volcano brand vaporizers. The manufacturer can be contacted directly for any concerns regarding your purchase.

Member Guide to California's Prop 64

Effective November 9, 2016, it is legal under Prop 64 for any adult 21 years or older to:
• Possess, transport, obtain or give away 1 ounce of marijuana or 8 grams of concentrated cannabis to other adults 21 or older.
• Cultivate up to 6 plants per residence and possess the marijuana produced by these plants. All plants and harvest in excess of 1 ounce must be kept in a locked space not in public view at one’s residence. Local governments may still forbid cultivation outdoors, but must allow it inside a private residence or accessory structure that is “fully enclosed and secure.” Read more »

Why Marijuana Legal Sales Rollout Could Be Delayed

Amid the euphoria of this weekend’s famed Emerald Cup weed fest, there was this creeping buzzkill: the glacial rollout of legalization.

Right when it seems like “The Great Pot Moment” is upon us, it turns out there are a lot of really tough regulatory issues to resolve first, according to government and industry experts who sketched out all the thorny challenges at the two-day conference, competition and harvest celebration at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. 8 Unknowns About California’s New Marijuana Laws

Since passage of the Medical Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act in California (“MCRSA”), our California marijuana business attorneys have been getting calls nearly non-stop regarding what folks can do now to have a medical marijuana business later in the Golden State. The passage of Proposition 64, California’s legalization initiative, has only accelerated the questions on what to expect in the future now that California will have a full-blown legal marijuana licensing system as well. Jeff Sessions’ Coming War on Legal Marijuana

On Election Day, eight states voted to legalize recreational or medical marijuana, bringing the nationwide total of medical states to 29. In Florida, medical marijuana won nearly 2 million more votes than Donald Trump. Added up, 65 million people now live in states that authorize adult recreational use; more than half of all Americans have access to medical marijuana; and almost everyone else lives in a state that permits CBD, a non-psychoactive component of cannabis that helps treatment of juvenile epilepsy. It’s easier now to identify the six states that have done nothing to end the prohibition on marijuana than the ones that are breaking away from the federal law that treats marijuana the same as heroin.
